Been in Austin one week now. It is really nice to just be here and hang out. Almost everyday I ride and check out neighborhoods. Each day is more beautiful than the previous. Does anyone work in Austin? Out in the parks and trails, it doesn't look like it!

Happy Birthday Alan.
I love you.
Helmet hair and happy, after a 4 hour tour of neighborhoods in Austin. Pretty much what I've been doing here. The cousins are impressed that I have my own spandex rather than handme downs from boyfriends, husbands, sons.
BlueMazda6  at her new home. South Austinites store everything but cars in the garage. Megan's home is very nice and comfortable for me too!

Some drizzle today; so I checked out the Blanton Museum of Art on the UT Campus.
Very Nice.

Must have died and gone to heaven. Beautiful day for the Austin Marathon. Started out cool, is sunny and mild, but not hot. Rode my bike from So Austin to the finish of the Marathon on Congress Ave. just below the State Capital. From there through the UT campus and Hyde Park, had a latte at Quack's and saw runners at the furthest point in the Marathon. Once again people and music in the streets.

Let your feet lead you. I drove into NOLA, with vague memories of the Garden District.
I found a nice street, checked lodgings on my Garmin and after 1 failed attempt, found my home away from home. Then I trekked through the District and finally down to the French Quarter. By virtual accident, I am staying at on Magazine Street. Definitely the cool destination in town. In the French Quarter, I had some oysters and a beer and then walked into a free concert by the LA symphonic orchestra in St. Louis' Church on Jackson Square. Hopped a cab back home and am having a hard time leaving!

Garden District and toward Downtown; Many contrasts. All very interesting.
Anyone following the blog? Let me know. Thanks.

I am truly blessed and while at my sister's, I am surrounded by LOVE. (Pearl, Jack, Lucy, only Itty Bitty is missing from this photo.)
Jack likes an occasional Bud Light. (Jeff does too!) Have to remember to buy your beer on Saturday or you are out of luck.
On the screen porch. Greenwood South Carolina!

Rose and I after lunch in Downtown Wilmington.  Ciao until next time!

My cousins and great friends, Rose and Ted at home in River Landing. They have settled into their new home and environs. Trust me, it wouldn't be hard. Lovely couple of days. Enjoyed my time there immensely. *****+Accomodations

Wednesday, Feb 4, Lunch stop, Fredericksburg, VA Baby Eve looks very "hot" in her pink Adidas warm-up. She is most adorable. My nephew really is a DR; saw him at work; his staff loves him and family. Candis is the best new mom! Nice, quick visit to meet Eve. I will volunteer to hold her anytime. Loveya.
Behind in blogging. This photo just inside South Carolina; still about three hours from my sister's home was taken yesterday, February 6.

I want to paddle on Lady Bird Lake.
Spouse has converted house to a Manspace, complete with gym, work out area, bike shop and mechanic's bench. No wonder he seemed so happy to see me leave!

Watched the Steelers (a little too exciting of a game) at Bob & Sue's with their friends, Gary and Mali. Great evening!
