Paying attention to weather forecast, with warm-up (above freezing) for Sunday and storms the beginning of the week. I may move my departure to Sunday afternoon.

Totally compulsive behavior. As if XM/Sirius are not enough, I have 42 days worth /3500 songs loaded on my ipod. (All legal BTW.)

Shoes. Shoes are always a dilemma. Help me simplify so that my whole trunk is not full of shoes. Other things are not hard to eliminate.

Equipment: Through a dream, I realized that I need to pack my film medium format camera. Digital is nice, it just doesn't do it . Need a new battery for Bronica ERC. Also thanking daughter for gift of plastic Diana, a replacement for my Holga which is a copy of the original Diana.  (BTW, in my dream, my sister paid $8k for TLR camera because she is so analog!) Thanks to all of you for the inspiration.

8 degrees with thermometer in the sun at 2:00 p.m. We're getting our monies worth in NEO! Burning cherry logs in the wood stove. It's nice. Garmin works even though I accidentally set it to espanol to begin with. At least I understood enough to get it back to Anglais.

UtOh; Mimi, AKA, BlueMazda6 needs some work on her suspension. Overnight at the shop waiting for parts. (Knew that creaking noise meant something!)

Purchased Garmin nuvi, what kind of name is that?

30 minutes on my treadmill and then decide to go about 4 miles around the golf course on XC skis. Doesn't get any better than that. In NEO = warrior goddess, in ATX = outta shape ol' lady, (I hope not!)

About six inches of new snow on the ground in NEO, still coming down in big, beautiful flakes. Going to a wedding this afternoon, will we be able to find the bride?

Snowing in NEO today; that's good, I want to enjoy some winter before I leave it. Had lunch with my "work" daughter, Kristy today. (Miss her.) Stopped at CycleSales for new kryptonite bike lock. Cross off check list!

Looking at the weather; it was nicer in OH than TX today. Watching the Fiesta Bowl Ohio State vs. UT. Go Colt.

It's January in NEO. Reading Guidebooks, highlighting maps and contacting friends and family in anticipation of packing the car in February. Possible travel companions include my Dad, (for part of the trip) and/or my Golden Retriever.
